Version 1, effective 2.11.2026

Padelution – Terms of Service

Padelution Oy · Business ID 3302427-9 · VAT ID FI33024279 · Friisinniityntie 5 A, 02240 Espoo, Finland · +358 40 766 1957 · info@padelution.com

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and Padelution Oy ("Padelution", "we", "us"). Part A applies to everyone who uses Padelution. Part B applies in addition when you use Padelution for a club, venue, federation, association, coach, company or other organisation.

Part A – Terms for all users

1. About these Terms

1.1 These Terms apply to the Padelution website at padelution.com, the Padelution mobile apps and any other Padelution service that links to them (together, the "Service").

1.2 You accept these Terms by ticking the acceptance box when you create an account, or by accepting a new version when the Service asks you to. If you use the Service without an account, section 16 (acceptable use) applies to that use.

1.3 Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. It is information, not part of this agreement. When you buy from a club or other organiser, that organiser's own terms also apply (section 10). If you act for an organisation, Part B applies too.

1.4 If you don't accept these Terms, don't create an account or use the features that need one.

2. The Service

2.1 Padelution is a platform for padel. Players, clubs, venues, federations, coaches and other organisers use it to:

  • run competitions, leagues, events and open games (OpenMix)

  • record results and keep competition history, rankings and ratings

  • show player profiles and statistics

  • sell event and league entries, memberships and other services

  • keep member registers and communicate with players

  • publish news and information about the sport.

2.2 Some features are free. Others need a paid subscription: PLUS for players (section 11) and page plans for organisations (Part B). Features can differ by country, user group and plan. We may offer new features to selected users first, marked as beta.

2.3 We develop the Service continuously. Section 23 explains how we handle changes.

3. Padelution's role

3.1 Padelution provides the platform. Clubs, venues, federations, coaches and other organisers ("Organisers") use it independently to run their activities and sell their services.

3.2 When you buy from an Organiser – for example an event or league entry, a membership or an add-on – the contract for that purchase is between you and the Organiser. The Organiser is the seller and is responsible for what it sells, its price and its cancellation terms. Before you pay, the checkout shows who the seller is and, for businesses, its business ID and address where it has them.

3.3 Padelution is the seller of its own products: PLUS, PLUS gift cards, page plans and the advertising we sell.

3.4 Private sellers. Some Organisers, such as individual coaches, are not businesses. When a seller has declared that it is a private person, the checkout says so before you pay. EU consumer protection rules, including the right of withdrawal, don't apply to purchases from a seller who is not a business.

3.5 Payments to Organisers. When you pay an Organiser through Padelution, Padelution Oy receives the payment on the Organiser's behalf and with its authorisation. Your payment obligation to the Organiser is fulfilled once our payment service has received the payment. Your card statement shows Padelution as the payee, usually together with the Organiser's name. Apart from the refunds in section 6.4, the Organiser decides on refunds under its own terms and the law, and we pay them on its behalf.

3.6 We are responsible for running the platform and for our own obligations under these Terms and the law.

4. Your account

4.1 Minimum age. You must be at least 13 to create your own account. If the law where you live requires a parent's or guardian's consent at your age, get it before you sign up. Players under 13 can use Padelution only through a linked account managed by a parent, guardian or another person authorised to act for them (section 5).

4.2 Accurate details. Give accurate details when you create your account and keep them up to date. Your account is personal: don't share your login or let anyone else use it. Tell us at info@padelution.com if you suspect misuse.

4.3 Date of birth. Your date of birth decides which age rules apply to you (sections 5 and 9). Once saved, you can't change it yourself. Contact info@padelution.com to correct it; we may ask for proof. If your account has no date of birth, for example because an Organiser created it, features with age rules, such as messaging, statistics and buying PLUS or gift cards, stay unavailable until you add it.

4.4 No impersonation. Don't pretend to be someone else, create accounts for other people without the right to do so, or give misleading personal details.

4.5 Accounts created by Organisers. An Organiser may add you to its member register, a competition or an event, and an account may be created for you, for example when an Organiser imports its member list. The Organiser is responsible for having the right to add you and for telling you about it. We e-mail you when an Organiser adds you to its member register or asks you to confirm a place in an event or league, if we have your e-mail address. You can start using the account, correct your details or ask us to delete it. These Terms apply to you once you accept them, which you'll be asked to do when you first sign in on the website.

4.6 Results without an account. An Organiser can enter you in a competition or match by name even if you don't have an account. Your name and results can then appear in the Service as part of that competition (section 8).

4.7 How to close your account is explained in section 18.

5. Minors and linked accounts

5.1 Players aged 13–17 can have their own account. For them:

  • statistics and messaging stay off until switched on in the settings, and switch on when the player turns 18 (sections 9 and 15), and while statistics are off, their rating history isn't shown either

  • their profiles are kept out of search engines (section 8.2)

  • "Show my age" is off by default (accounts that existed before we introduced this default keep their earlier setting, which can be changed in the profile settings)

  • they can buy PLUS, start a PLUS trial and buy gift cards. A parent or guardian can ask us at info@padelution.com to refund PLUS or a gift card bought by a player under 18, and we will refund it.

5.2 Linked accounts. A parent, guardian or other person authorised to act for a player can create and manage a linked account for them, for example for a child under 13. When you create a linked account, you confirm that you are the player's guardian or otherwise authorised to act for them, and you accept these Terms on their behalf.

5.3 As the manager of a linked account, you:

  • can switch into the account and use it for the player, including its messages and settings, such as whether a 13–17-year-old's statistics and messaging are on

  • receive the account's e-mails, including message notifications

  • are responsible for the accuracy of its details and for everything done through it, including purchases.

5.4 A manager can pass control of a linked account to another Padelution user, or hand the account over to the player. We may ask a manager to show their right to manage an account, and remove the link if they can't.

5.5 When a link is removed, payments and renewals that the manager set up for the account can end. A manager can close their own account only after handing over or closing the linked accounts they manage.

5.6 Players under 13 can't buy anything themselves, and statistics and messaging aren't available to them. Their rating history and rating changes aren't shown, and their profiles are kept out of search engines. Their results, placings, rating and other competition information appear like any player's, as part of the competition (section 8). Their records are also left out of the match details shown to PLUS members, such as head-to-head records.

6. Competitions, leagues, events and open games

6.1 Organisers run their own competitions, leagues, events and open games in the Service. Each Organiser is responsible for its event: rules, eligibility, schedule, draws, venue, safety and decisions. Contact the Organiser about these. We are not responsible for an Organiser's competition decisions.

6.2 Signing up for an event or league is a commitment to its Organiser. Some events let you pay later. The amount is then a debt to the Organiser, and we send payment reminders on its behalf until it is paid.

6.3 Added by an Organiser. When an Organiser adds you to an event or league, we ask you to confirm. The Organiser sees your contact details only after you confirm, or after you sign up or pay yourself.

6.4 Cancellations and refunds. Where the Service lets you cancel your entry yourself, for example while signups are open, your payment is refunded in full. If the Organiser removes you or cancels your class, your payment is refunded in full. Other refunds are up to the Organiser under its terms and the law.

6.5 OpenMix. OpenMix games are open games created by players or clubs. The creator of a game and its confirmed players can see each other's contact details, such as phone numbers, so they can arrange the game. Joining can depend on your rating (section 7.5).

6.6 Organiser messages. Organisers can e-mail the participants of their events, leagues and certifications about those activities. These are service messages linked to your participation.

7. Results and ratings

7.1 Entering results. Organisers can enter and correct results. Depending on the competition, players can also enter them. A result can count, and update ratings, as soon as it is entered, without the opponents confirming it. Enter only true results.

7.2 How ratings work. We calculate each player's rating with an Elo-type method. It uses match results and scores, the players' previous ratings and experience, the type of match and other match factors, such as which court side the players prefer. Age, gender and nationality are not used. A new player's rating is provisional, and isn't shown publicly, until they have played a few rated matches.

7.3 Ratings update automatically, and we recalculate them when needed, for example when results are corrected. Earlier figures can therefore change. We may develop the method, and a change can also affect ratings shown earlier.

7.4 Corrections. If a result is wrong, ask the Organiser to correct it. If that doesn't work, or you suspect misuse, contact info@padelution.com. We may correct or remove results that are clearly wrong or based on misuse, and recalculate the ratings they affect.

7.5 Rating-based limits. Some features use ratings automatically. For example, whether you can join an OpenMix game directly can depend on how your rating compares with the game's level, but you can ask the game's creator to let you in. Ratings also affect which games we suggest to you and how some playgroups are formed.

7.6 Votes. After an OpenMix game, players can vote on each other's level. Votes don't affect ratings. If we start using them in ratings, we will tell you before we do.

8. Competition history and public sports data

8.1 Recording results and keeping a reliable competition history are central to the Service. Results, placings, rankings and ratings are public by default and stay in the competition history, because each result also belongs to the other players in the match and to the competition. Official results can also count towards the rankings that federations keep.

8.2 Public pages, including events, leagues, organisation pages and player profiles, can be found through search engines, except the profiles of players under 18. You can ask us to keep your profile out of search engines.

8.3 Closing your account doesn't remove your past results from the competition history, and your name stays in them (section 18). Your rights under data protection law, including the right to object, are not limited by these Terms. We assess each request individually.

8.4 Statistics, ratings, predictions, win probabilities and fan votes are calculated from the data available. They may not reflect a player's real level, and we don't guarantee they are accurate. Predictions and fan votes are sports analysis and entertainment, not betting or investment advice.

9. Player profiles, statistics and PLUS analytics

9.1 Your public profile shows your name, photo, nationality, home club, rating, rankings, playing preferences such as court side and hand, your match results with partners, opponents and scores, and your age if "Show my age" is on. "Show my age" starts on for adults who sign up themselves, and off for players under 18 and for linked accounts. Accounts that existed before we introduced these defaults keep their earlier setting, which can be changed in the profile settings.

9.2 Statistics are calculated from match data:

  • players aged 18 and over: on, also for a player who kept them off before turning 18. You can object to this, as the Privacy Policy explains

  • players aged 13–17: on only if the player switches them on, or the manager of their linked account does. Where the law sets a higher age for giving consent online, a parent or guardian must switch them on

  • players under 13: not available.

Statistics are shown only to PLUS members. A PLUS member sees all of their own statistics and a limited set about other players. Match details shown to PLUS members, such as head-to-head records, leave out the records of players whose statistics are off or not available.

9.3 Rating history (rating charts and the change from each match) is shown to PLUS members. It isn't shown for players under 13, or for players aged 13–17 whose statistics are off.

9.4 AI recap. A PLUS member can get an AI-written summary of their own season from time to time. It is labelled as written by AI, may contain mistakes, and isn't shown to other players. It can mention the partners and opponents you played with.

9.5 Predictions and fan votes. Matches can show a predicted outcome and fan votes. Their percentages are shown to PLUS members.

10. Buying from Organisers

10.1 When you buy an event or league entry, a membership, an add-on or another service from an Organiser, the Organiser's terms apply alongside these Terms. Before you pay, the checkout shows the seller, the total price including any fees, and the main terms.

10.2 No right of withdrawal for date-specific services. Entries to events, leagues and other leisure services for a specific date or period don't come with the 14-day right of withdrawal. The checkout tells you this before you pay, and the Organiser's own cancellation terms apply, together with section 6.4.

10.3 Memberships that renew. If a membership renews automatically, the checkout says so before you pay. By buying it, you authorise the Organiser to charge your saved card for each new period under the membership's terms. We send you a reminder before each renewal on the Organiser's behalf. You can stop the renewal in the Service or by contacting the Organiser.

10.4 Refunds and complaints about what an Organiser sells go to the Organiser, which is responsible to you as the seller. If you can't reach the Organiser, contact us and we'll help.

10.5 Play money. If an Organiser offers play money, the Organiser issues the balance and is responsible for it. It can be used only for that Organiser's services, the Organiser decides how long it is valid, and it can't be exchanged for cash unless the law requires it.

11. PLUS

11.1 PLUS is Padelution's paid subscription for players. Its features and current prices are shown in the Service before you buy. Prices include VAT where it applies. PLUS is sold in the EU and in selected other countries.

11.2 Renewal. PLUS is billed for the period you choose at checkout, such as a month or a year. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price then in force, until you cancel. We charge the payment method you saved at checkout.

11.3 Cancelling. You can cancel at any time on your billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and PLUS stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling doesn't refund the current period; for refunds, see the right of withdrawal in section 13.

11.4 Free trial. If you have never had PLUS before, including through a gift, your first subscription may start with a free trial. The checkout shows the trial's length and the date of your first payment. You add a card when you start, but nothing is charged during the trial, and we remind you before the first payment. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged. If you don't, your first payment is taken when the trial ends.

11.5 Price changes. We may raise the price for future billing periods because of changes in taxes, the law or the costs of providing PLUS. We tell you about a price increase at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

11.6 VAT. We determine the VAT on PLUS from evidence such as your card's country or your IP address's country, and keep that evidence as tax law requires.

12. Gift cards

12.1 You can buy PLUS as a gift for a period shown at checkout. The price, including VAT, is shown before you pay. You must be at least 13 to buy a gift card.

12.2 We deliver the gift to the recipient by e-mail, straight away or at a time you choose, or give you a link to pass on yourself. We use the recipient's details and your message only to deliver the gift.

12.3 The gift shows how long it can be redeemed, and we remind the recipient before it expires. Anyone with a Padelution account can redeem a PLUS gift, including players under 13. If the recipient already has a running PLUS subscription, they can redeem the gift after it ends.

12.4 A gifted PLUS period ends by itself. It doesn't renew, and no card is needed. We remind the recipient before it ends. To keep PLUS, the recipient can subscribe, and billing then starts when the gift ends.

12.5 The buyer can withdraw from the purchase within 14 days, as long as the gift hasn't been redeemed (section 13). The checkout says this before you pay. If a gift payment is refunded or reversed through a chargeback, the gift, and any PLUS period it has given, ends at once. Gift cards can't be exchanged for cash.

13. Right of withdrawal

13.1 If you are a consumer and buy PLUS or a PLUS gift card from us, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days run from the day after you start a subscription (including one with a free trial) or buy the gift. Renewals don't start a new period. For a gift card, the right ends once the gift has been redeemed, as the checkout tells you before you pay.

13.2 How to withdraw. Send us a clear statement by e-mail to info@padelution.com before the 14 days have passed. You can use the model form in Annex 2, but you don't have to. We confirm receipt by e-mail.

13.3 Refund. If you withdraw, we refund everything you paid for that purchase without undue delay and within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal at the latest. We use the same payment method unless you agree to another, and the refund costs you nothing. The subscription, or the gift, ends when we process the withdrawal.

13.4 During a free trial, cancelling ends the contract and nothing is charged, so you don't need to withdraw separately.

13.5 Withdrawing is different from cancelling a renewal (section 11.3), which only stops future payments.

13.6 Purchases from Organisers. Whether a purchase from an Organiser can be withdrawn depends on what you buy, and the Organiser is responsible for it. There is no right of withdrawal for date-specific leisure services (section 10.2) or for purchases from sellers who are not businesses (section 3.4).

14. Payments and saved cards

14.1 Payments are processed by Stripe. You can pay by card and with the other payment methods shown at checkout. Padelution never sees or stores your full card number. Stripe's own terms also apply to payments.

14.2 Saved cards. When you pay by card while signed in, your card is saved with Stripe for faster checkout and for recurring payments. The checkout tells you this. You can remove a saved card at any time in your payment methods. Removing a card that a subscription or membership renews with can stop the renewal.

14.3 Recurring charges. By starting a subscription or a renewing membership, you authorise the seller to charge your saved card on the dates shown at checkout and in our reminders, without asking you each time. If a payment fails, we may retry it and tell you. If payment doesn't succeed, the subscription or membership can end.

14.4 Your card statement shows Padelution as the payee, usually together with the seller's name.

14.5 If you think a charge is wrong, contact the seller or us first. A chargeback on a valid purchase may lead us to end the service it paid for.

15. Messaging and your content

15.1 Who can message. Players can send each other private messages. Some messaging features, such as starting a new conversation, may require PLUS. Age rules apply:

  • players aged 18 and over can always receive messages

  • players aged 13–17 can send and receive messages only if messaging is switched on in their settings

  • players under 13 can't use messaging.

15.2 Privacy of messages. Messages are private to the people in the conversation. Padelution staff can't open your conversations through the Service. We access message content only when needed to investigate a report, keep the Service secure or comply with the law. The manager of a linked account can read that account's messages (section 5.3).

15.3 What others see. People in a conversation with you can see when you were last active, when you are typing and whether you have read their messages. If you don't read a new message soon, we may e-mail you a notification with the sender's name and the start of the message.

15.4 Your content. You are responsible for what you post or send, such as messages, photos, profile text and results, and you must have the right to share it.

15.5 Licence. You give Padelution a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process and display the content you add, as needed to provide and improve the Service and for the purpose you shared it. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for content that is part of the competition history or that others have already received, such as messages. This licence is not the legal basis for processing personal data; the Privacy Policy explains that.

16. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break the law or infringe other people's rights, including their privacy, image or intellectual property rights

  • harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse anyone, or send spam

  • pretend to be someone else, or create or use fake or duplicate accounts

  • enter false results, record matches that weren't played, or otherwise manipulate ratings or rankings

  • add other people to games, groups, registers or events without the right to do so

  • use contact details or other personal data you get through the Service for anything other than the activity they were shared for

  • collect content from the Service automatically, for example with bots or scraping, or use our interfaces against their instructions; search engines that follow our robots.txt are allowed

  • use results, ratings, statistics or predictions for betting or other gambling, resell them, or use them to train AI models, without our written permission

  • get around security measures, overload the Service, or access accounts or data you aren't allowed to.

17. Reporting content and how we moderate

17.1 Reporting. You can report a profile or other content in the Service where a report option is available, or by e-mailing info@padelution.com.

17.2 What to include. A report should say why you think the content is illegal or breaks these Terms and where it is, such as a link or description. It should also give your name and e-mail address, unless you are reporting suspected sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, and confirm that you believe the information in it is accurate and complete. We confirm that we have received it.

17.3 Who decides. Our staff review reports. We don't use automated tools to moderate content; people make the decisions. We tell the person who made a report what we decided and how they can ask us to review it.

17.4 What we can do. If content or conduct is illegal or breaks these Terms, we may remove content or limit who sees it, correct or remove results, restrict features, or suspend or ban the account temporarily or permanently. Our response is proportionate to how serious the case is.

17.5 Reasons. When we take action against you, we tell you by e-mail what we did, why, which rule or law it is based on, and how to ask us to review it, unless the law prevents us from telling you.

17.6 Review. You can ask us to review a decision by e-mailing info@padelution.com within six months of it. Where possible, someone who wasn't involved in the original decision reviews it. You can also take the matter to court.

17.7 Threats to life or safety. If we learn of information suggesting a crime that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the police.

17.8 Contact point. Authorities, the European Commission and users can contact us about these matters, including under the EU Digital Services Act, at info@padelution.com, in English or Finnish.

18. Suspending and closing accounts

18.1 Closing your account. You can delete your account in your account settings. If something prevents it, such as an active subscription, unpaid payments or accounts you manage, e-mail info@padelution.com and we'll help, for example by cancelling your subscription and deleting the account for you.

18.2 What deletion does. Deletion removes your contact and login details, your profile photo, saved cards, most profile details, your saved location, AI recaps and follows, and your mini-game scores. Your profile page stays reachable by its direct link, with your name, nationality, rating, rankings and results, but is hidden from search in the Service and from search engines. Messages you sent stay with the people you sent them to. Section 18 of the Privacy Policy explains what is kept and why.

18.3 Suspension or closure by us. We may suspend or close an account, or limit its features, if its user seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms or the law, puts other users or the Service at risk, or doesn't pay. A suspension blocks signing in for as long as it lasts. We tell you the reason as described in section 17.5.

18.4 PLUS. If we suspend you for a breach, your PLUS subscription continues and isn't refunded; otherwise we refund the PLUS fees for the suspended time. While suspended, you can stop the renewal by e-mailing info@padelution.com. If we close your account permanently, we cancel your subscription. If the closure isn't caused by your breach, we refund the unused part of the current period.

19. Advertising and messages from us

19.1 Ads. We show ads in the Service, and they are labelled as sponsored. We choose ads by country, using the country you have saved or the country of your IP address. We don't use your profile or behaviour to target ads. PLUS members see fewer ads.

19.2 We count how many times each ad is shown and clicked, without recording who saw or clicked it.

19.3 E-mails from us. We send service messages that are part of the Service, such as confirmations, receipts, reminders, security messages and notifications about your activity. We send marketing e-mails only with your consent.

19.4 Organisers send their own messages and are responsible for them.

20. How listings and search results are ordered

Lists are ordered by criteria such as distance, date, name or size, as shown in each list, to help you find what is closest, soonest, newest or largest, or look something up by name. You can often change the order yourself. Search results show items you follow first and are otherwise ordered by how closely they match your search words. Games we suggest to you also depend on your rating (section 7.5). Where pages compete for space on a map, pages on paid page plans can be shown above other pages; otherwise, payments don't affect the order. Ads are always labelled as sponsored (section 19).

21. Third-party services

21.1 Parts of the Service use or link to other companies' services, such as our payment provider, map and video services, analytics if you consent, and sports federations' licence systems. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them. We aren't responsible for third-party websites we link to.

21.2 Licence systems. If you link your account in a sports federation's licence system, such as Suomisport, we fetch your licence information and date of birth from it. Your licences are shown in the Service, and the date of birth from that system replaces the one you gave. Link only your own account.

22. Intellectual property

22.1 The Service, including its software, design, databases, texts, logos and trademarks, belongs to Padelution or its licensors and is protected by copyright, database and trademark rights. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. They don't transfer any rights to you.

22.2 Our collection of results, ratings, rankings and statistics is a database protected by database rights. You may not extract or reuse substantial parts of it without our written permission.

22.3 If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely.

23. Availability and changes to the Service

23.1 We aim to keep the Service available and secure. It can still be interrupted for maintenance, updates, network problems or other reasons, and we don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

23.2 We may change, add or remove features for valid reasons, such as developing the Service, security, changes in the law, or changes made by our service providers. If we change a paid service in a way that affects you negatively and more than slightly, for example by removing a main PLUS feature, we tell you by e-mail in advance. You can then end the subscription free of charge within 30 days of receiving our notice or of the change taking effect, whichever is later, and we refund the unused part of the period.

23.3 If we stop offering PLUS, we refund the unused part of prepaid periods.

24. Sports risk

Padel involves a risk of injury. Padelution doesn't organise the matches, events, courts or coaching offered through the Service unless we say so. The Organiser or venue, not Padelution, is responsible for the condition and safety of venues, courts and equipment. You are responsible for your own health, equipment and insurance. This section doesn't limit our liability under mandatory law for our own actions.

25. Liability

25.1 We provide the Service with due care, as described in these Terms.

25.2 We are not liable for:

  • indirect losses, such as lost income or the cost of other services

  • losses caused by information that other users or Organisers enter

  • losses arising from an Organiser's activities, events or sales

  • inaccuracies in ratings, rankings, statistics, predictions or AI-written content in the free Service.

25.3 These limits don't apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to personal injury, or where mandatory law doesn't allow them. They don't limit a consumer's rights under mandatory law. Part B sets out liability towards organisations.

25.4 If PLUS doesn't work as described, you have the remedies that consumer law gives for digital services, such as having it fixed, a price reduction, ending the subscription and damages.

26. Force majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control that we couldn't reasonably have foreseen or avoided, such as widespread network or power failures, orders by authorities, or a similar obstacle affecting our subcontractors.

27. Changes to these Terms

27.1 We may update these Terms, for example when we change the Service or the law changes.

27.2 Material changes are those that reduce your rights, add to your obligations, or change the price or main features of a paid service. For these:

  • we e-mail PLUS subscribers at least 30 days before the change applies to their subscription

  • we give organisations notice under Part B

  • we ask everyone to accept the new version the next time they use the website.

Until you accept, the version you accepted earlier continues to apply to you, but on the website you can't use the features that need an account.

27.3 Other changes, such as clarifications, corrections or additions for new features that don't reduce your rights, take effect when we publish them.

27.4 If you don't accept a material change, you can stop using the Service and close your account. A PLUS subscriber can cancel before the change applies, and we refund the unused part of a prepaid period.

27.5 The current version and the date it took effect are always available at padelution.com/terms-of-service. We keep earlier versions and send them to you on request.

28. Transfer of the agreement

We may transfer this agreement to a company in the same group or to a buyer of our business, provided your rights are not reduced. We will tell you in advance. You may not transfer your account to anyone else.

29. Notices

We send notices about this agreement to the e-mail address in your account or show them in the Service. Keep your e-mail address up to date.

30. Governing law and disputes

30.1 Finnish law applies, without its rules on conflict of laws. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.

30.2 Please contact us first. We aim to resolve disputes through negotiation.

30.3 A consumer can take a dispute to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi). Before doing so, contact the consumer advisory service of the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority or, if you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country.

30.4 A consumer can bring a claim against us in the courts of Finland or of the place where they live, and we can bring a claim against a consumer only in the courts of the place where they live. Disputes with users who are not consumers are settled in Helsinki District Court.

31. Language

These Terms are written in English. We may provide translations for convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies, to the extent mandatory law allows.

Part B – Additional terms for organisations

B1. Scope and acceptance

B1.1 Part B applies when you use Padelution for a club, venue, association, federation, coach, company, community or other organisation (the "Organisation"), for example as an admin of its page. In Part B, "you" means the Organisation.

B1.2 By accepting these Terms when you create or administer an Organisation's page, or by using the Service for the Organisation, you confirm that you may act for it. You accept Part A, Part B and the Data Processing Agreement in Annex 1 on its behalf.

B1.3 Part A also applies to Organisations, except its consumer protections, such as the right of withdrawal and the consumer dispute rules. Where Part A and Part B differ, Part B applies to Organisations. If a consumer nevertheless buys a page plan, the consumer protections that mandatory law gives them still apply.

B1.4 The Organisation is responsible for what its admins do in the Service, and for removing access from people who no longer act for it.

B2. Pages and plans

B2.1 An Organisation can use a page free of charge or subscribe to a paid page plan. Plan contents and prices are shown in the Service, and prices exclude VAT. Custom plans can be agreed separately.

B2.2 Paid plans are billed in advance for the period shown in the Service and renew automatically until cancelled. A page's first paid subscription may start with a free trial, and the Service shows its length. A card is needed, and the trial becomes a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.

B2.3 Upgrades apply at once. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are not refunded, unless these Terms or the law require it.

B2.4 If a payment fails, paid features can be locked until it is paid. Padelution may grant plans or discounts, for example through gift codes.

B2.5 Paid page plans are sold to organisations, and to professionals for their work, not to private persons for their personal use.

B3. Selling through Padelution

B3.1 When the Organisation sells entries, memberships, add-ons or other services through Padelution, it is the seller. It is responsible to buyers for what it sells, including consumer law obligations, information given before purchase, cancellation and refund terms, and VAT and other taxes.

B3.2 The Organisation must keep its seller details correct in the Service: legal name, business ID, address and contact details. These are shown to buyers at checkout and on receipts. By entering its business ID and choosing the type of its Stripe account, the Organisation declares whether it sells as a business. If it has no business ID and its Stripe account is for an individual, buyers are told at checkout that it isn't a business. An Organisation that sells as part of a business or profession, including a private person such as a coach, sells as a business: it must enter its business ID or tell us at info@padelution.com, and it is responsible for a wrong declaration.

B3.3 The Organisation may add its own terms of sale, which must not conflict with these Terms or mandatory law. It sets its own cancellation terms. The checkout tells buyers that date-specific leisure services have no right of withdrawal, and the Organisation must apply that exception correctly to what it sells. Whatever its terms say, the Service refunds buyers in full in the cases in Part A, section 6.4.

B3.4 For memberships that renew, the Organisation must state the renewal terms clearly. Padelution charges the buyer's saved card on the Organisation's behalf and sends renewal reminders.

B3.5 The Organisation gives Padelution the information Padelution needs to meet its legal reporting duties as a platform operator, such as reporting seller information to the tax authorities. Padelution may pass that information to the authorities as the law requires.

B4. Payments and payouts

B4.1 Payment collection. The Organisation authorises Padelution, as its commercial agent, to conclude sales of its products and services through the Service on its behalf and to receive payments from buyers on its behalf. A buyer's payment to Padelution's payment service settles the buyer's debt to the Organisation.

B4.2 Stripe account. To receive payouts, the Organisation must open and keep a Stripe connected account through the Service and accept Stripe's terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. The Organisation is responsible for the information it gives Stripe.

B4.3 Payouts. Padelution transfers the Organisation's share to its Stripe account on the schedule shown in the Service: for event entries and add-ons after the event, and for other sales soon after payment. Padelution's platform fee and the payment processing fees, as shown in the Service or agreed separately, are deducted first, and so is any federation share under B8.4.

B4.4 Refunds and chargebacks. The Organisation decides on refunds under its terms and the law, subject to Part A, section 6.4, and bears their cost. If a buyer disputes a payment and the dispute is lost, the disputed amount and the related fees are the Organisation's responsibility. Padelution may deduct refunds, disputed amounts, fees and other amounts the Organisation owes from its future payouts, and invoice any remaining balance.

B4.5 Padelution issues receipts to buyers in the Organisation's name. Card statements show Padelution as the payee, usually together with the Organisation's name.

B5. Play money, loyalty and benefits

If the Organisation offers play money, loyalty points or other benefits, it issues them and remains responsible for them towards its customers, also after it stops using Padelution. Their validity and other terms must comply with the law.

B6. The Organisation's responsibilities

The Organisation must:

  • have a legal basis for all personal data it adds or imports, such as members, customers, participants, results and notes, and inform the people concerned

  • add people to registers, events or groups only when it has the right to do so

  • enter accurate results and correct errors promptly

  • run its events safely and according to its rules, and hold appropriate insurance

  • use e-mail and other messaging tools only for messages about its activities, and send marketing only with consent where the law requires it

  • not record health information, such as injuries, or other sensitive personal data in notes or other free-text fields

  • comply with the consumer, sports, tax and other laws that apply to its activities.

B7. Data protection roles

B7.1 Padelution is the controller for the processing it decides on itself: user accounts, public profiles, results, competition history, ratings, rankings, statistics, PLUS, platform security, its own customers and payments, and the payments it collects as the Organisation's agent, with the related accounting, VAT, dispute and tax-reporting records.

B7.2 The Organisation is the controller for the personal data in its own registers and tools: member, customer and participant records, notes, its use of analytics, the surveys it sends, and its messages to members and participants. Padelution processes that data on the Organisation's behalf as its processor, under the Data Processing Agreement in Annex 1.

B7.3 When a player accepts a membership or confirms their participation, the Organisation receives their contact details as a separate controller and is responsible for how it uses them.

B7.4 Each party is responsible for its own obligations under data protection law.

B8. Federations and chains

B8.1 A federation or chain can link clubs or venues to its page only if the club or venue accepts. Once linked, the federation or chain sees the information about the club's members and activities shown in the Service, such as members' names, memberships and their validity.

B8.2 Federations can send surveys to the participants of their rankings and export lists of their licence holders, including licence IDs.

B8.3 A club that accepts a link is responsible for telling its members about this sharing.

B8.4 Federation share. A federation can set a share of the event entry and membership payments that clubs linked to it receive through the Service, as agreed between the federation and its clubs, for example in the federation's competition rules. The club authorises Padelution to deduct that share from its payouts and pay it to the federation.

B9. Visibility, ranking and data access

B9.1 Listings and search results are ordered as described in Part A, section 20. Where pages compete for space on a map, pages on paid plans can be shown above pages without one. Otherwise, the plan doesn't affect how an Organisation is ranked.

B9.2 During the contract, the Organisation can view and export the data in its registers and tools in the Service, such as members, participants and transactions. Padelution can access the data in the Service, and uses data from Organisations' pages to provide, secure and develop the Service and for its own processing under B7.1, such as results and statistics. After the contract ends, the Organisation can ask for an export of its register data within 30 days.

B9.3 Padelution doesn't restrict Organisations from offering their services elsewhere or on different terms.

B9.4 Padelution's own products. Padelution promotes its own PLUS, gift cards and ads across the Service, including on Organisations' pages. Padelution's own pages are ordered under section 20 like any Organisation's.

B9.5 Data about others. Organisations get no data about other Organisations or their customers beyond what is public and what B8 allows. Apart from what the Service shows to its users, Padelution passes data from Organisations' pages only to its service providers, to linked federations and chains under B8, and to authorities when the law requires it.

B10. Restriction, suspension and termination

B10.1 Padelution may restrict, suspend or end an Organisation's use of the Service, or a page, if the Organisation seriously breaches these Terms or the law, its activities put users at risk, or it doesn't pay. We give the reasons by e-mail before or when the measure takes effect.

B10.2 We give at least 30 days' notice before ending an Organisation's use of the whole Service. We may act sooner if the law requires it or the Organisation has repeatedly breached these Terms.

B10.3 The Organisation can ask us to clarify the facts behind a decision, respond to it, or make a complaint at info@padelution.com.

B10.4 The Organisation can stop using the Service at any time by cancelling its plan and removing its page. Paid periods are not refunded.

B11. Changes to these Terms

We give Organisations at least 15 days' notice by e-mail of changes to these Terms that affect them. A change that requires significant technical or commercial adjustments from Organisations gets a longer notice. A shorter period applies only where the law requires it or to address an unforeseen and imminent danger. The Organisation may end the contract before the change takes effect.

B12. Liability between Padelution and Organisations

B12.1 Padelution's total liability to an Organisation under these Terms is limited to the fees the Organisation paid to Padelution in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Padelution is not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or revenue.

B12.2 The Organisation is responsible for its events, sales and use of personal data. It will compensate Padelution for claims by buyers, participants or authorities arising from them, including consumer claims and data protection claims caused by its breach.

B12.3 These limits don't apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or to Padelution's obligation to pay the Organisation the sales proceeds it has collected for it.

B13. Licence to Organisation content

The Organisation gives Padelution a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use its name, logo, images and other content it adds, to show its page and activities in the Service. This includes the venue and organisation directories, search results, share images, news and listings. The licence ends when the content is removed, except for content that is part of the competition history.

B14. Law and disputes

Part B and Annex 1 are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are settled in Helsinki District Court.

Annex 1 – Data Processing Agreement

1. Parties and scope

1.1 This Data Processing Agreement ("DPA") is between the Organisation, as controller, and Padelution Oy, as processor. It forms part of the Terms and applies whenever Padelution processes personal data on the Organisation's behalf as described in Part B, section B7.2.

1.2 Terms such as "personal data", "processing", "controller", "processor" and "personal data breach" have the meanings given in the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

1.3 Where this DPA and other parts of the Terms differ on the processing of personal data, this DPA applies.

2. Details of the processing

  • Subject matter and purpose: Providing the Organisation's registers and tools in the Service: member, customer and participant registers; memberships and renewals; the Organisation's lists and exports of its sign-ups and sales; notes; analytics; surveys; messages to members and participants; exports and accounting exports.

  • Duration: As long as the Organisation uses the Service, and until the data is deleted under section 10.

  • Nature: Storing, organising, displaying, updating, exporting and deleting data; sending messages; calculating analytics.

  • Data subjects: The Organisation's members, customers, participants, survey respondents, coaches, contact persons and staff.

  • Personal data: Name; contact details (e-mail, phone, address); date of birth and age group; gender; membership and licence details, including licence IDs; sign-ups and participation; purchases and payments; survey answers; notes; analytics derived from these, such as spending and customer segments; messages.

  • Special categories: None. The Organisation must not record health or other sensitive data (Part B, B6).

3. Instructions

3.1 Padelution processes the personal data only on the Organisation's documented instructions. These Terms, and the Organisation's use and settings of the Service, are those instructions.

3.2 If Padelution considers that an instruction breaks data protection law, it tells the Organisation immediately.

3.3 Padelution may also process the data where EU or Finnish law requires it. It then tells the Organisation before the processing, unless that law forbids it.

4. Confidentiality

Padelution ensures that everyone who processes the data on its behalf is bound by confidentiality, and that only people who need access for their work have it.

5. Security

5.1 Padelution keeps appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect the data, including:

  • encrypted connections (HTTPS)

  • role-based access control

  • securely hashed passwords and support for passkeys

  • a log of security events and of staff access to accounts

  • private storage, served through time-limited links, for files that aren't meant to be public

  • rate limits and protection against card testing.

5.2 Padelution may update these measures, but not in a way that lowers the overall level of protection.

6. Sub-processors

6.1 The Organisation authorises Padelution to use sub-processors. They currently provide hosting and infrastructure, file storage and image processing, e-mail delivery, search, error monitoring, payment processing and support notifications. Padelution gives the names on request.

6.2 Padelution binds each sub-processor by contract to the same data protection obligations as in this DPA, and remains responsible for it.

6.3 Padelution tells the Organisation by e-mail at least 15 days before adding or replacing a sub-processor. The Organisation may object on reasonable data protection grounds. If Padelution can't accommodate the objection, the Organisation may end its use of the affected service.

7. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some sub-processors are located, or can access data, outside the EU/EEA, for example in the United States. Padelution allows such transfers only on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

8. Assistance

8.1 Padelution helps the Organisation answer requests from data subjects. The Service lets the Organisation view, correct, export and remove register data. If a request about the Organisation's data reaches Padelution, Padelution forwards it to the Organisation.

8.2 Taking into account the nature of the processing and the information available to it, Padelution also helps the Organisation meet its obligations on security, personal data breaches, data protection impact assessments and prior consultation.

9. Personal data breaches

Padelution notifies the Organisation without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting the Organisation's data. It gives the information available at the time and adds more as it becomes available.

10. End of the processing

10.1 After the contract ends, the Organisation can request an export of its register data within 30 days (Part B, B9.2).

10.2 Padelution then deletes the personal data it processed on the Organisation's behalf within a reasonable time, unless the law requires it to be kept.

10.3 Data that Padelution processes as a controller under Part B, B7.1, such as results and accounting records, is not affected.

11. Audits

11.1 Padelution makes available the information needed to show that it meets this DPA, and first answers audit requests with documentation.

11.2 Padelution also allows audits by the Organisation or an auditor it appoints who is bound by confidentiality. Audits need reasonable notice and are at the Organisation's cost. They can take place at most once a year, unless a personal data breach or an authority requires more, or the Organisation has a justified reason to doubt that Padelution complies with this DPA.

12. The Organisation's obligations

The Organisation is responsible for:

  • having a legal basis for the personal data it adds or has Padelution process

  • informing data subjects

  • giving only lawful instructions

  • not recording sensitive data.

13. Liability

Liability between the parties follows Part B, section B12, and Article 82 of the GDPR.
